Biography:
I have spent most of my life as a competitive runner. I ran for Mountain View High School where I was the 5A District Champion, and then continued at the collegiate level. At The College of Idaho, I competed in the 5,000, 10,000, and steeplechase. I was All-Conference, and competed in the NAIA National Championships six different times. I recently started training for half-marathons, and set a new record for the Zion National Park Half. When I am not training for upcoming races, I am usually traveling the world. This past summer, I was backpacking through Asia, putting the tally to 17 different countries I have explored throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
This is my fourth year coaching cross-country, my third as head coach. During my first year, I was voted the 4A women’s SIC Coach-of-the-year. Over the past two years, I have graduated 17 runners from the program—seven of whom been offered running scholarships. As I grow this program, my plan is to increase to amount of athletes who become life-long runners.
